Ed Monroe painted two Avatars who appeared in the 2010 Masquerade Parade, and the pair won "Best in Category" for Novice Entrants.
Bay Con is the annual Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention, held in Santa Clara, the heart of California's Silicon Valley. This year, Ed Monroe brought out his famous Bug Suit to delight the fans and painted a Navi family portrait--on their flesh! We hosted visitors at Ed's Terra booth where we sold copies of his novel and chatted up customers. We had the privilege of being located next to fantasy novelist Peter Beagle (The Last Unicorn) who was gracious to a T, and got to watch the costume parade up close and personal.
