Standing erect, he slammed the impaled beast into its pack mate, fired the dagger at one on the left, and brought the bloody sword up to meet the main blocking wolf as it leaped through the brush and over the rocks, fangs bared.
Terra Illustrations
As Monroe wrote the novel, he dropped the art side of his career to devote to the writing. However, images from the book found their way through his drawing pen and onto the page. He created 26 scenes from Terra, including a map of Ice Age Europe and a schematic of the Conditional Principle, the spaceship that falls to earth during the mesolithic era.
These images have been created with Rapidograph, narrow-point to get as much detail into the small drawings as possible. All 26 drawings are placed in the published version of Terra.

Monroe grew up on the classic novels written for American children, but has been especially inspired by Treasure Island and Kidnapped, two novels by Robert Louis Stevenson and illustrated by N.C.Wyeth.
